Stocky is gone: what to use for Shopify reorder planning

Updated September 15, 2026

Shopify removed Stocky from the App Store on February 2, 2026 and it stopped working on August 31, 2026. Shopify's help center says stores keep read-only access to export Stocky data for at least 90 days and points merchants to inventory features in Shopify admin (Shopify Help Center: transitioning from Stocky).

What Stocky covered

  • Demand forecasting and reorder suggestions
  • Purchase orders to suppliers and receiving
  • Stock transfers between locations and stocktakes

What Shopify admin covers now

Purchase orders, transfers and inventory states are handled in Shopify admin, and Shopify Sidekick can answer questions such as what to reorder. Check the help center link above for current details, since these features change often.

Where a planning app still helps

Native tools are good at recording orders. The harder part is deciding what and how much to order across hundreds of SKUs, every week. Look for:

  1. Demand that ignores stockout days, so a best seller that sold out doesn't look like a slow seller.
  2. Lead times per supplier that update from real delivery dates.
  3. Order-by dates and quantities, not just a list of low-stock items.
  4. Explanations you can check, so you trust the numbers enough to act on them.

Migrating in an afternoon

  1. Export your Stocky supplier list and lead times while read-only access lasts.
  2. Make sure each product's Vendor field in Shopify matches the supplier name, since most planning apps group purchase orders by vendor.
  3. Run a free CSV reorder report from your Shopify exports to see which SKUs need ordering this week.

Reorder Radar focuses on planning (forecasting, reorder points, supplier reliability, PO drafts). It does not do POS, stocktakes or barcode receiving.
